-Thursday we are having an assembly at 1:25 pm, all are welcome to see our K-2 poems and songs.
- Friday the children may bring costumes to put on at noon if they wish. We will be moving around to "stations" in the K-2 wing.
- Wednesday we are starting an Art Club from 2:00-2:45 here at school, probably in Ms. Hogenbirk's room, you may pick up your child or have him or her go home on the 3:00 bus.

Days are certainly shortening.

The evenings are plenty long, makes a good chance for curling up with a book  (with your child).
This week's words are in your child's agenda and homework duotang as usual.
In math we have been reviewing counting by 2's, 5's and 10's forward and are now practicing this going backwards as well. We have completed our unit on patterns but will revisit this from time to time with a focus on number patterns over the next little while.
This Wednesday evening, October 22nd , the Library is having an activity time at 6:15 pm. Thursday after school there is Elementary Drama at 2:10 pm.
Remind your child to wear orange and black on Friday Oct. 24th.

Falling leaves .........

This week our spelling words are: she, with, are, he, funny, more, sip, lip, flip, trip and Saturday. We did most of our first homework sheet in class yesterday as this is a four day week. Collectively we have read more than 225 books since the beginning of the year, not too shabby at all.
Please continue checking your child's /children's heads for lice. This time of year brings all these little bonuses, colds and flu are making the rounds as well.
That is the news from here.
