March Madness

Hello everyone. We are well into another month. I trust you have all had a restive and/or exciting March Break.Time is passing quickly. Before you know it, report cards will be going home. There isn't quite as much homework as usual this week. Grade two will have their regular spelling test on Friday. The focus this week is on "air" words. Grade two will also be working on "plurals" and addition of two-digit numbers. We have started a unit on "mass". We will be doing a lot of measuring and weighing this next little while. Please encourage your child to look at the kilograms printed on different food items, such as sugar, flour, peanut butter, etc..
We will be learning about our "community" in "You and Your World" over the next couple of weeks and then we will continue working with our Reading Club.

The weather is still cold as you well know. Please don't forget to send hats and mittens with your little ones.
This coming Friday there is a movie playing in the cafeteria. There is a notice in your child's agenda with the details. Keep your eyes open for signs of spring. Until next week, M. Cronk.
