* Please give your child an opportunity to count change. It is a wonderful activity to help your child with " number sense". Counting by "tens", starting from numbers other than 0 or 10 is a bit more challenging and an important skill. Have a good week. M. Cronk

Happy New Year !

Hello to everyone and all the best in this new year. Everyone seems happy to be back at school. We have a regular amount of homework this week. Ten spelling words with related work sheets and some word problems in math. There are also some exercises on "wh" words and some work on antonyms and synonyms.
Please see that your child is reading to you each night. He /she should have a book from school, perhaps a chapter book, and he/she should be reading a chapter or a short book aloud. Please ask your child questions about the story and make sure the book that he/she chooses is not too difficult nor too easy. If they happen to forget a book, it is fine to read one from home.
Nothing else new for now, enjoy your week. The days are getting longer. M. Cronk
